Performance

When it comes to energy density, the DeepGreen data center is one of the top European data centers. The data center has a total output of 50 megawatts. This means that a standard power of 8 kilowatts of electricity per rack is supplied to 5,200 racks in total. Each rack has a twin power supply connection with full capacity. As a result, servers with redundant power supply units ensured maximum system stability.

Independent Substation and Distribution Network

The DeepGreen data center ensures supply using its own dedicated high-voltage substation with a twin 110kV high-voltage connection. Internal distribution involves a separate 16kV medium-voltage network as far as the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems (IPS). Conversion to the normal 230/400 V supply voltage takes place here.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems

The UPS systems ensure the entire power supply during mains fluctuations and in the event of power outages until the diesel generators start up. They can perform a bridging function for up to 12 minutes at full load and can therefore also cover extraordinary incidents. The modular design makes an efficient structure possible, as well as interruption-free maintenance when still operating. All feed cables have a redundant design and can be maintained and expanded without interrupting operations.

Diesel Generators Offer Additional Security

A fleet of 28 diesel generators with 56 megawatts and diesel tanks allowing 48 hours of operation under maximum load safeguard the power supply, even in the event of the total failure of the European high-voltage grid.
